Amazing isin't it? The yankies say that IF they attack a soverign
nation it might result in TERRORISM. Of course the yankie attack isin't
terrorism but a Godsend of some sort.
Mr. Lemke do me a favour will ya, tell your countrymen and women that
they can forget about Iran/Iraq/Libya being "terrorist supporting

It won't be the first time we 'attacked' Iran. There was a sovereign,
democratically elected government there 50 years ago that demanded an equal
share and contrrol of the wealth taken from it by Western nations. Bad
idea.
Instead of taking a risk on a fledgeling democracy the US abandoned it's own
heritage, aided and abetted the overthrow of that democracy, installed a
tyrant that was overthrown 25 years. We now have a radical Muslim theocracy
there not only working on the seeds of an inferno, they're very conceivably
in line to gain control over our latest pet project, the control of Iraq.

Yes, a mean old puppet too.
Yup, got lots of benefits from that regime change for a little while anyway.
Someone neglected to show George that regime change can have some unintended
consequences tho.

Agreed...did the oul ayatollah's a great favour by invadin' Iraq.
Eliminate Saddam and unite the Shiite majorities of Iran and Iraq by
bringing "DEMOCRACY" to Iraq. That puts around 20% of the world's oil
reserves in the hands of angry Shiite Muslims who have a long memory of
Westerners messin' with their goods. That would be a total of 250 billion
barrels.
Add nuclear bombs and someone could say that Israel might soon be wiped off
the map.
George must have thought he had God on his side or something when he hatched
his ideas.

Not sure right off hand about the promotions but there have been reports of
mass resignations over military planning for strikes against Iran. I guess
that's the protocol, you don't like what the Prez does so you quit. There
have been a few of those resignations lately.
Apparently there's already some resistance to hitting Iran among old allies.

"Meanwhile, a new report on the Iran crisis has warned that

Gee, what a surprise! 9_9
So, looks like Bush is hyping this up, and the only ones falling for it is
the US media. I've read a couple of stories that Iran is *years* away
from any kind of nuclear weapons capability. Meanwhile, it seems very
logical that an area with little/no coal, oil, or rivers would turn to
nuclear power generation instead of coal, oil, or hydro.

And why the obsession with nukes when Iran is probably sitting on a
horde of biological and chemical weapons...!!!
So far all the obsessions seem to be coming from the Iranian
president, the mad mullahs and ayatollah. They're the ones
doing/saying all the crazy stuff at the moment, trying to make
themselves appear far more lean and mean than they really are.
Hell, they can't build nuclear facilities on their own... they
need Russians to do it for them. What a crock... they want
advanced technology but they can't understand how the ***** works !
Hell? The mullahs will understand this.
Peres: 'Ahmadinejad represents Satan'
Yes, I remember reading that quote.... interesting stuff.
What happens if we just sit on our hands and do nothing ?
5, 8, 10 years down the road Iran eventually gets a working
bomb (if they don't blow themselves up first). Then what...
Is war with Iran eventually going to be inevitable ? The mad
mullahs with a nuclear device... will they see geo-blackmail
as a viable policy, or will we go through a type of cold war
like we did with Russia and eventually come through to the
other side ?
If war with Iran is inevitable then I'd rather do it now, even
if it causes short to intermediate term pain. Ah the good old
days of WWII when you knew who your enemies were and your
enemies actually attacked you.... then, a man could go out
and kill another man and feel good about himself.

That would certainly explain why Russia isn't particularly worried...

That's where Iraq's weapons went. Elvis has been looking in the wrong
country.

Helping Iran isn't bad geopolitical strategy, especially for China. Let the
Americans further alienate themselves with Muslims with mad plans for regime
change while you build ties that would insure long-term access to oil. Iraq
has yet to be completely explored for oil reserves even.
Neocon blunt force trauma foreign policy implemented by leaders that have
never had to personally enforce the policy. Five deferments during Vietnam
and some sweet government and corporate jobs qualifies people like Cheney as
Genghis Khan.

And they've got at least 40000 trained suicide bombers to use if the
West attacks.

iT'S ALL frickin' mad, John !!!
I agree.
It's gonna change all our lives FOREVER for the worst !!
But not if you're one of THEM. THEY probably thing things need to be
thinned down a bit anyway. :-)
Even the local bus driver & the Greek cafe owner reckon
it's INEVITABLE....
Weeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllll, sanction might also work but how do you get
sanctions with China and Russia against them so far?
Why are they opposed to sanctions? Do you know of anything that we're not
being (accurately) told?

How do you 'train' a suicide bomber ? What sort of 'practice'
do they get that wouldn't be lethal ?
Sounds like more Iranian bluster... "oh we've got 40,000 trained
dead people."
