Qaeda threatens Europe attacks after July 15 expiry of truce offer
A purported Al-Qaeda statement has threatened attacks in Europe if
there is no response to a truce offer by Osama bin Laden that expires
on July 15.
"To the European people... you only have a few more days to accept bin
Laden's peace offer or you will only have yourselves to blame," said
the statement carried by the London-based Asharq al-Awsat and
attributed to the "Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades".
The statement, whose authenticity could not be immediately verified,
also told Muslims in the West to move to Muslim countries or avoid
non-Muslim neighbourhoods in their host countries.
"To those Muslims living in the West... If you can migrate to Muslim
countries, do so. He who does not have the means to leave should take
precautions by living in Muslim neighbourhoods", the statement said.
On April 15, the terror chief offered peace to European countries that
refrain from aggression towards Muslims and those that pulled their
troops out of the Muslim world within three months from its
announcement.
Bin Laden's taped message, broadcast by the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya
television, said that for all European countries that accept the
offer, "peace will come into force with the departure of (their) last
soldier from our countries."
"I present a reconciliation initiative... whose essence is our
commitment to stop operations against all (European) countries if they
promise not to be aggressive towards Muslims or interfere in their
affairs, like the American plot against the big Islamic world," said
the voice on the tape.
"For those who want peace, we offer it to them. Stop spilling our
blood to protect yours," said the voice. "The solution is in your
hands!"
European leaders promptly dismissed the apparent offer, saying the
idea of negotiating with bin Laden was absurd.
Friday's statement also advised Muslims staying in Western countries
to stockpile food and be prepared to defend themselves.
"(He who stays) should store food for himself and his family, enough
for a month, and should have the means to defend himself and his
family... (He) should keep money at home enough for a month or

ongoing clashes in Yemen's northern Saada province between supporters
of extremist preacher Hussein Badr Eddin al-Huthi and the army.

Saudi Arabia, has left at least 81 dead, including 12 soldiers,

Huthi is a preacher from the Zaidi community, a moderate Shiite Muslim

Al-Qaeda makes demands that cannot be met. To give in to them would
only embolden them to make more demands. Europe would then be giving
up its sovereignty to a band of brigands. Europe knows this and
Al-Qaeda knows it and Al-Qaeda is not interested in peace. They are
simply trying to shift the blame for their crimes onto those who will

Qaeda threatens Europe attacks after July 15 expiry of truce offer
A purported Al-Qaeda statement has threatened attacks in Europe if
there is no response to a truce offer by Osama bin Laden that expires
on July 15.
"To the European people... you only have a few more days to accept bin
Laden's peace offer or you will only have yourselves to blame," said
the statement carried by the London-based Asharq al-Awsat and
attributed to the "Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades".
The statement, whose authenticity could not be immediately verified,
also told Muslims in the West to move to Muslim countries or avoid
non-Muslim neighbourhoods in their host countries.
"To those Muslims living in the West... If you can migrate to Muslim
countries, do so. He who does not have the means to leave should take
precautions by living in Muslim neighbourhoods", the statement said.
On April 15, the terror chief offered peace to European countries that
refrain from aggression towards Muslims and those that pulled their
troops out of the Muslim world within three months from its
announcement.
Bin Laden's taped message, broadcast by the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya
television, said that for all European countries that accept the
offer, "peace will come into force with the departure of (their) last
soldier from our countries."
"I present a reconciliation initiative... whose essence is our
commitment to stop operations against all (European) countries if they
promise not to be aggressive towards Muslims or interfere in their
affairs, like the American plot against the big Islamic world," said
the voice on the tape.
"For those who want peace, we offer it to them. Stop spilling our
blood to protect yours," said the voice. "The solution is in your
hands!"
European leaders promptly dismissed the apparent offer, saying the
idea of negotiating with bin Laden was absurd.
Friday's statement also advised Muslims staying in Western countries
to stockpile food and be prepared to defend themselves.
"(He who stays) should store food for himself and his family, enough
for a month, and should have the means to defend himself and his
family... (He) should keep money at home enough for a month or
longer", it added.
The statement, a copy of which was later sent to AFP by Asharq
al-Awsat, also warned that Yemen would become a "third swamp" for the
United States.
It said the terror network aims to widen its conflict with the United
States and lead it "into a third swamp, after Iraq and Afghanistan".
"We say to the Brigades of Abu Ali al-Harithi that the leadership has
chosen Yemen to be the third swamp for this era's tyrant, the US", the
statement added.
It also said Al-Qaeda's "leadership decided to discipline the
blasphemous and puppet government (of Yemen)".
"To the tyrant (President) Ali Abdulah Salah, did you understand the
messages from Saada and al-Huthi?" the statement said, in reference to
ongoing clashes in Yemen's northern Saada province between supporters
of extremist preacher Hussein Badr Eddin al-Huthi and the army.
Fighting since June 19 in the area, which lies near the border with
Saudi Arabia, has left at least 81 dead, including 12 soldiers,
according to an AFP count.
Huthi is a preacher from the Zaidi community, a moderate Shiite Muslim
sect dominant in northwestern Yemen but in the minority in the mainly
Sunni country.
Yemeni authorities accuse him of stirring trouble by organising
anti-US demonstrations.

in light of the lack of evidence in support for the coalition's
presence in Iraq, I would support the EU in the withdrawal of their
troops, since their presence there is a direct result of fradulent
evidence presented by the US. In fact, I would support their
withdrawal in any case, regardless of any Al-Qaeda truce offer. It
would "serve them right" to lose what little international support
they have in their quest to ignite a religious third world war. I
don't feel that they *need* to be stubborn just because the ultimatum
was issued by Al-Qaeda.
I still suspect Al-Qaeda to be carefully in the pocket of the US,
however. This would be a nifty way to drag the rest of Europe
(specifically France) into the conflict with an "I told you so" jeer.
It doesn't make sense to me for Al-Qaeda to threaten France when they
are vehemently opposed to any western invasion of Moslem states. Yet,
it would indicate, by prediction, that France will surely be struck.
Tell me Jean, since you're a Nosty connoisseur: I vaguely remember
either a discussion in this NG or a translation in a book a while back
with respect to a group of seven who will be killed during the
invasion of Europe by an Eastern 'king'. It turns out that these
seven are financially responsible for his campaign and are killed by

There is no fraudulent evidence. They haven't found the missing WMD, but
two have resurfaced showing that Saddam lies about destroying any.
It is not because they haven't found them, they may never find them,
they wouldn't have found them in the first Gulf War if it hadn't been
for a defector, and Saddam had three years to hid the ones that were
inventoried even better this time. Without a defector they won't find
them. And who would open his mouth if the consequences are that he will
be in the hand of Iraqi justice whereas if he shuts up he will be safe?
The US has been too generous already, giving in everything the Arabs
wanted.
Doesn't mean there are not there, or in Syria, or in in other
surrounding Muslim countries, in one of the weasels' European country.

You can't change the past and you can't give in to these people.
Irrespective of the true motives of the coalition of the willing the
fact remains that terrorists attacked the USA. Terrorists have been
attacking US property in one nation after another for years, causing
loss of innocent life.
The US knee jerk reaction may have been extended by political
opportunists but when someone keeps battering at your door you have to
provide them with an answer.
I argued against the war in Iraq. Now, at least, there is an
opportunity for Iraq to grow into a state free of tyranny, but I don't
think that will happen, because there are too many people with a
vested interest in seeing that it doesn't. These range from people who
want Iraq to be a fundamentalist Muslim state to those who see
democracy in Iraq as a vindication for the US led invasion. The last
thing they want is for the US to get any kind of credence from this
war and they are willing to do anything to see that it doesn't. They
have attacked Saudi Arabia with their terrorism and now they will
attack Europe. Their mission is to keep the paranoia level high, to
raise the level of fear and cause nations to spend vast amounts of
money on defence strategies against enemies who are perceived to be
large but are in reality small in number. This in turn will bring down
economies and bring nations to their knees.
If you ever get a chance to read a book called "Wasp", I think it was
written by Eric Russell, a science fiction writer, you will understand
the theory, but if you can't get the book or don't want to read it
then here is the principle in simple terms;
A group of people are driving in a car. The day is hot and the window
is down to allow air in. A wasp flies in the driver's window and
buzzes around him. Now wasps have a terrible reputation for stinging
people. The driver, fearing that he will get stung waves his arms
about defensively. He concentrates on the Wasp instead of the road.
The car runs off the road, crashes and the occupants are killed. The
wasp flies out the window.
The book describes how one man toppled a government using this
principle.
What do we see in the world? Little groups of terrorists buzzing
about huge governments, threatening them. Huge governments spending
vast quantities of money trying to get rid of them. The problem is
their greatest weapon is our fear. So we are stuck between a rock and
a hard place. The weapon of choice for us must be to produce our own

Irrespective of the true motives of the coalition of the willing the
fact remains that terrorists attacked the USA. Terrorists have been

thing they want is for the US to get any kind of credence from this

have attacked Saudi Arabia with their terrorism and now they will
attack Europe. Their mission is to keep the paranoia level high, to
raise the level of fear and cause nations to spend vast amounts of
money on defence strategies against enemies who are perceived to be
large but are in reality small in number. This in turn will bring down
economies and bring nations to their knees.
If you ever get a chance to read a book called "Wasp", I think it was
written by Eric Russell, a science fiction writer, you will understand
the theory, but if you can't get the book or don't want to read it
then here is the principle in simple terms;
A group of people are driving in a car. The day is hot and the window
is down to allow air in. A wasp flies in the driver's window and
buzzes around him. Now wasps have a terrible reputation for stinging
people. The driver, fearing that he will get stung waves his arms
about defensively. He concentrates on the Wasp instead of the road.
The car runs off the road, crashes and the occupants are killed. The
wasp flies out the window.
The book describes how one man toppled a government using this
principle.
What do we see in the world? Little groups of terrorists buzzing

Thanks for asking me to suggest some credentials you could produce;
Probably the most important ones are scriptural ones. Tell me what
scriptures point to you or that you feel are fulfilled in you.
The other thing that would give you more credibility would be if you
could tell me, where else, apart from usenet, you are declaring your
message.
Now I don't mean you any disrespect by asking you for this. You see
Jesus gave us clear signs about when to know that his kingdom is near.
You can read them in Luke Chapter 21.
Also, if you read James chapter 4, verse 11 then you see the conflict
I have with your claim. You see the issuing of a citation is given by
someone who has judged that a person has done wrong and so they "cite"
them or "name" them as a wrongdoer. The cited person has then to
defend themselves. This is not a light matter and is why I challenge
you on it. The bible clearly tells us not to judge. If you read 2
Peter chapter 2 then you can see that not even Angels dare to judge.
Lightwing, I am not asking you to stop preaching that men should
repent and seek God's love. What I am asking is that you stop
threatening people and judging them. A person may obey someone if that
person threatens them, but they only obey them because they are
oppressed and then they long for freedom from oppression. God loves us
and wants us to serve him out of the abundance of our hearts. He does
not oppress us. It is true there will come a day when the patience he
shows the world will end. You know as well as I do, God's people will
be persecuted, but the only ones (humans) given any power by God are
the two Witnesses. They are prophets and they testify. They have great
power but the Bible does not say they judge. It simply says they can
destroy anyone who tries to harm them until they themselves are killed
by human hand. (Revelation Chapter 11)
