There is fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, Lebanon, Israel; there
are potential hostilities growing within North Korea, Iran, Russia,
China, and the United States.
Are we already at War? World War III is a concept we have lived with
throughout the 20th century. Is WWIII the situation which is emerging
now; a state of affairs where the world's nation are so split and
maligned that eruptions of sectarian violence across the globe is part
of the same tension, hostility, and cause?
9/11 had something to do with Israel and the United States. Al-Qaeda
said so. The violence in Iraq had alot to do with this conflict of
philosophy and religion, and politics. So has the Iraeli/Palestinian
conflict since 1982 and so on. Now, Lebanon. I am beginning to think
that the hostilities between the groups and states that sponsor
Al-Queada, Hezbellah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc... and the United
States, Israel, and their allies--is really the pretext of WWIII, is it
not? After all, all of these deaths on the news have as their cause the
same ideology, the same purpose, and the same effect--do they not?
Is this indeed a crusader War? It seems at least on the Islamic side it
most certainly is. The question is: Is our side too?
Either way, we are being dragged into a holy war, a jihad--by events.
It may not be WWIII, but the effects are the same, the causes are the
same, as is the magnitude of death and reach. Our globe is at war,
whether on the field of battle, or in the minds of men.
