U.S. checking overseas airports for missile threat
Homeland Security teams are assessing the vulnerability of about a
dozen overseas airports to attacks with shoulder-fired missiles. While
there is no intelligence that an attack is imminent, an official said
near-miss of an Israeli airliner last year was a "wake-up call." There
are an estimated 750,000 shoulder-launched missiles in the world,
experts say.
