Note: Eiffel Tower to go red for the historic meeting
Arms, Taiwan top France-China meet
By Willy Wo-Lap Lam, CNN Senior China Analyst
Sunday, January 25, 2004 Posted: 11:13 PM EST (0413 GMT)
(CNN) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao is set to arrive in Paris to
lobby for sales of weapons to China and French opposition to
"referendum politics" in Taiwan.
In meetings with President Jacques Chirac and other leaders, Hu is
also eager to cement a "special partnership relationship" with the one
European Union country that enjoys the best relationship with Beijing.
January 26 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of formal
ties between the two countries, and Paris has been pulling out all
stops to celebrate -- including lighting the famous Eiffel Tower red
The date also coincides with a meeting of EU foreign ministers to
discuss the sensitive issue of lifting the 15-year-old ban on the
export of military high technology to China.
Diplomatic analysts in Beijing said while the EU would not make an
announcement on the weapons issue soon, the Hu leadership was
confident of a breakthrough this year.
The analysts said the People's Liberation Army was especially
interested in buying French Mirage jets as well as French avionics and
astronautical equipment.
Hu is due to witness the signature of a couple of agreements on
cooperation between Chinese and French companies in the areas of IT,
consumer products and infrastructure.

Well, the real x,72 was the Chinese prez Zian Zemin visit in 1999, for
the first time in a long time, to re-sucitate the relations which
culminated with the test ban treaty... etc.
But this event may show that Bejing has really warmed up since that
historical event. Does it show anything else I might have missed?

Me and my friends know the deeper implications of this event and how
it will affect the future of, not only China, but U.S ( N. America in
general). and Europe, but it is too lengthy to speak about here ( this
is because we have much more of the in-depth detail (News) of these
events and we have checked it against historical movements of nations
and countries and how the outcomes manifests globaly.).

You may want to go to my website and at the article 'Arms, Taiwan top
France-China meet' click on the CNN link(s) and grab the picture of
the 'A red Eiffel Tower lights up the Parisian skyline' for its
historic value. You also, may want to searh for this pict., elsewhere,
to grab a larger size of the picture and save it to your files. It's
quite stunning in its physiological affects, and this is part of the
deeper meanings of this historical event.

How're ya doing Vik?

Could be better, could be worse. My best friends have in turn bypass
surgery this week; and broken toes from wearing sandals and walking
from a restaurant at night. The latter's daughter had a sudden
unexplained lung collapse, which is concerning a lot of us.

Ready to tell me what you know?

I don't know enough. Actually I ridded myself of thousands of dollars
worth of personal archives and books and software. The stuff was
burdening me. Temptation. Kind of like having one of the rings in
LOTR. Gotta lose that and then slowly try to seek it again. Good clues
in LOTR, upon second viewing of the movie. The future visions with Liv
Tyler and the Mr Smith guy posing as an elf king. There were things I
despised about the movie, but the elf scenes were good. There is a
timeline, ya know. Elves are cool though.
I can't see why critics despised The Butterfly Effect. Maybe they
wanted a boring science lecture. The movie was keen, though for mass
appeal to youngins especially, there was a lot of sex and violence and
other taboos thrown in for entertainment, sensationalism, and money
making; but that is what movies are for primarily. If something
responsible can be added, that's a bonus. A message of note was that
the psychiatrist and the professor were clueless buffoons, as they
should be depicted, because they don't see the real picture. That was
not by accident in my opinion. Nevertheless, though Tom Cruise in an
interview called psychiatry a lot of bunk or so forth, I don't think
his Scientology is all that great. Websites have attacked the latter.
I am looking for signs of intelligence, wherever I can find them.

What bait. That's why I destroyed and deleted the material I did. If I
decided to make a push, I would be without my best material gathered
over the years.
I am on a new search for enlightening voices on the Net. Let them be

Perhaps there are really wise guys lurking in Usenet who see a
timeline, and have good archives, and will keep them. My guess is they
exist and are waiting for the right time to appear. It's gotta be a
team effort or no effort at all.

Ya ready to become a full-fledged Teacher?

I'll be a sentinel; not like in Matrix. I'll watch over the new-old
discoveries.

Thank you. That is a compliment. My current task is to get someone off
her horse and start practicing yoga with a good teacher, though I know
little about yoga. But it's gotta be safer than riding a horse

sake (to leave a legacy), seems wrong, unless it is unpretentious art.

It may be wrong, and possibly on many different levels.
But for some, it is the driving force behind their lives. They were either
'wired' that way, or the idea was instilled at a very early age...
Very few inhabitants of this planet want to die... there's a lot of fear and
dread at the thought... and there are several 'perceived methodes for
avoiding the emotional and intellectual pitfalls of the inevitable
conclusion that 'my life is short, and it *will* one day end.'
Some have dozens of children... so their genes or 'name' live on after
them...
.... others seek an afterlife in heaven... 'do good in this life, and go to a
better life'... the ultimate in hypocrisy.
.... others create empires... political, religious, etc.
And then there are a few that come to the conclusion;
"Screw it... I'm gonna fun, gonna experience what life has offered me...
.... and if I can help one or two others whilst I follow my path, or add some
little tidbit to the body of knowledge... then all the better!"
But in the end... do the 'motivations' really matter?
I guess my question is: Is it about Species survival, or Personal survival?

optometrist's office or a glasses selling store; so he was isolated

Yes, it was Burgess Meredith... "Time Enough at Last".
All he wanted was 'time enough' to read his books without being pestered by
his nagging wife or his boss... then a nuclear holocaust, (he was in some
kind of vault, as I recall)... first scared, and then, as you say, he was
ecstatic to find he had "Time Enough at Last" to read his precious books...
until he broke his glasses... and was no longer able to read.
Very Moving... I remember it well.
Hmmm... are you inferring that there are people out there who would
sacrifice Humanity for a few selfish pursuits?
By the same token, there was another episode I remember very well, and
continues to haunt me to this day.
It was called "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" and starred William Shatner.
Shatner (a just released mental patient on his way home) is on an airplane,
and sees a creature messing with one of the wing engines (at 20K feet). He
tells the steward and the co-pilot, but nobody believes him. He ends up
grabbing a gun(!) and shoots the creature off the wing through his window...
great sucking sounds and flying of paper as cabin pressure is released.
The plane lands, and Shatner is taken off on a gurney and in a straight
jacket... Shatner believes he has saved the people on the plane from a
certain death... though others think him insane.
Fade to the plane in it's hanger... maintenance men are looking at the
cowling of the left engine... it has been pulled up, and the imprints of a
powerful beasts hands are evident...
Voice over:
"The flight of Mr. Robert Wilson has ended now, a flight not only from point
A to point B, but also from the fear of recurring mental breakdown. Mr.
Wilson has that fear no longer, though, for the moment, he is, as he has
said, alone in this assurance. Happily, his conviction will not remain
isolated too much longer, for happily, tangible manifestation is very often
left as evidence of trespass, even from so intangible a quarter as....
.... the Twilight Zone."

Maybe by 2010. Many motivations associated with religion. But

Could be good or bad. Depends on who's deciding on the focused goal,
and what nation or group of nations, or belief systems they hold to.
With better education, focused goals may be safe.

How're ya doing Vik?

Could be better, could be worse. My best friends have in turn bypass
surgery this week; and broken toes from wearing sandals and walking
from a restaurant at night. The latter's daughter had a sudden
unexplained lung collapse, which is concerning a lot of us.

Hang in there, Vik.

Ready to claim the Highest Seat a sentient being on this planet is

capable

of attaining?

What bait. That's why I destroyed and deleted the material I did. If I
decided to make a push, I would be without my best material gathered
over the years.

I am on a new search for enlightening voices on the Net. Let them be
martyrs. ;) Martyrdom is not an attractive option for me. There are
limits to what I can remember and many of those memories are fading,
fortunately or unfortunately.

It's really the only reason I come back here now and again ya know.
;)

Thank you. That is a compliment. My current task is to get someone off
her horse and start practicing yoga with a good teacher, though I know
little about yoga. But it's gotta be safer than riding a horse
everyday.

Well, the real x,72 was the Chinese prez Zian Zemin visit in

1999,

for

the first time in a long time, to re-sucitate the relations

which

culminated with the test ban treaty... etc.

<de-lurk>

Heh, heh... so 'the Mongols are now 'the chinese'?!?
... and X.72 mentions 'test ban treaty'?
... and NOW you claim 'appeasing' rather than 'king of terror'?

Me and my friends

But this event may show that Bejing has really warmed up since that
historical event. Does it show anything else I might have missed?

Yes of course, if onlty because the 10,72 quatrain insures that from that, from
the importance of that 1999 signatuire of the Test Ban treaty, the regimes of
the world in the future, will reign in good fortune in-between conflicts, which
is an indication that total nuclear wars anhihilation is not in the cards and
all that apparently only because of this gesture by China in France, which will
have had an impact on the will of the rest of the world possibly. Historians of
the future will eventuially asess the event... Good thing you are working on it
already in your way. :-)

Psychological effects you mean? Is it good taste or bad taste? Like err...
ketchup on freedom fries? (Red on the Frenchies ;-)) LOL
Well the French have had a strong communist movement in the past. It somewhat
died down with the end of communism Hopefully it did not have the kind of
impact you seem to infer, but again, who knows the exact future...

The visit may have been significant, but it had NOTHING to do with X-72.
