Courtroom Defense Speech about 'Code Red'
A Few Good Men (1992)
Jack Nicholson as Col. Nathan R. Jessup
You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has
walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns.
Who's gonna do it? You? You, lieutenant Weinberg? I have a
greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep
for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury.
You have the luxury of not knowing what I know - that Santiago's
death, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence,
while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You
don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk
about at parties, you want me on that wall -- you need me on that
wall. We use words like "honor," "code," "loyalty." We use these
words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You
use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the
inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps
under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then
questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you
just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest
you pick up a weapon and stand the post. Either way, I don't
give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

Hey you uneducated sad excuse for a mother,
You're a Pig. If anyone isn't convinced, this above
should destroy any doubt.
You know what a sad excuse for a parent is? One that
cheats (or attempts to cheat) on their spouse; discarding
how the extra-marital affair may affect the children.
And who did/does that very thing? YOU, Tony!
Susan dedicates her entire life to her children. Do you?
And do you want to know who else does? Chris! He's a

days. And you have no idea how much I respect him
for that.

That you think UseNet posts represent reality shows just how DENSE you

Susan dedicates her entire life to her children.
How would you know?
Last I heard she spent the entire day (while her husband was at work)
roller blading and taking pictures of lizards. No mention that she had
the kids anywhere near her until after I pointed out her lax parenting
style.

Hey Mr. Denso.....they were right there with me! Most of the pictures I

Wrong.
That you think UseNet posts represent reality shows just how DENSE you
are.
But yet in this very post you came to the conclusion that Susan is a
"sad excuse for a mom" because of (what was that again?) Oh yes!
Nothing other than a *usenet post*!
Susan dedicates her entire life to her children.
How would you know?
Because I can read. And I've been reading her for years. Try it
sometime.
Last I heard she spent the entire day (while her husband was at work)
roller blading and taking pictures of lizards. No mention that she had
the kids anywhere near her until after I pointed out her lax parenting
style.
First of all, I've already read Susan's follow-up post to this, and
she had the kids with her that day. And secondly, why would that
be wrong if she didn't? She doesn't deserve breaks? She doesn't
deserve to get baby-sitters every once in awhile? Are you with
your kids 24/7, Tony? What's with the double-standard?
And do you want to know who else does? Chris! He's a
single father - something you don't see much of these
days.
LOL!!! You want to see more single fathers? You are dense aren't
you?
Wow, you're the one who is dense seeing that *yet again* you didn't
get it. By single father, Tony, I mean that he raises his kids (3 of
them) just as much - if not *more* than the mother. Usually, the
woman has custody and the father sees the kids on weekends. It's not
like that with Chris. He has the kids during the week, holidays, he's
fully involved with them. Almost every time I've ever talked to him
his kids were there.
How many fathers that are with the mother and kids in the home
are there - but not *there* if you know what I mean. How easy
would it be if the father didn't want the responsibility of the kids
to give full custody to the mother and see the kids on weekends, or
maybe every other weekend - while he goes on and lives his life
basically as a free man? You know that it's normally the woman who
puts in most (if not all) of the work.
We always praise single mothers, don't we? Well, we have a single
father here.
Now Dani, I reallly think that the next time you speak with your
shrink, that you should ask him/her why you continue to post to me and
why you even answer my posts to other people, yet at the same time you
keep asking me to stop posting to you.
I tell you to ***** when you go into super psycho mode and start
making up craaaazy ***** stories about "Sugar Daddies" etc..
On one hand, yes, of course I want you to *****.. then I see how
you treat my friends and feel the need to stick up for them. And
sometimes I feel your lies and slander should be countered - lest
there's a lurker/newbie who doesn't yet know the filth that is you
and could potentially buy into your insanity.
And also.. I just *love* Psychology (which is my field) - and you are
QUITE the specimen! .. :)

That you continue to befriend and support people that put your nation

Let's examine this for a second pantyboy.
Dani shows the voice of reason. She can critically talk about her own
country which shows intelligence and individualism...i.e. is capable of
differentiating herself from the flock. She can look at both sides of a
situation and come to her own conclusions. We non Americans can look at
her and say to ourselves "yes there are decent intelligent people in
that country". Hence she does America a favour and enhances it's
reputation.
Thank you, Chris. I didn't feel the need to defend my stance as an
American when Tony told me I was anti-American and I should leave the
country. I wasn't going to sit there and say: "No I'm not!!" - I'm
very secure with where I stand as an American, and I know I'm not the
things he accuses me of being. The man isn't worthy of an explanation
from me. But I appreciate everything you've said above.
You...are the proverbial thick loadmouthed yank who hasn't a clue but
loads of opinions. The type of comedy shows. The type that we all laugh
at and think "what a nation of ignorant fuckin' idiots those Americans
are". The type who can't think for themselves but swallow all the "Gawd
bless America" ***** with a lump in your throats and right hand on
your chest. The type who parrots their regime without actually fully
understanding what they're parroting about. The type that get's the US
a bad name.
Now...who's good for America:
Dani...intelligent, self aware, reasonable...and very very pretty :-)
Awwww, Chris! You had to go and make me blush :)
And you are also very intelligent, and very witty, and very cool,
and very funny, and a very good dad - and *very* handsome!
And I *adore* the accent!
What kind of accent does he have - Irish, British, or has he picked up a
Swedish accent?
Isn't it a pity that American accents are so uncool and boring
everywhere else?

Properly done, it sure can be.....depends on how gracefully it is

Hey Stupid,
I did not say that you hated America because you used the word "sod",

Hey Stupid,
I did not say that you hated America because you used the word "sod",
you are proven to be a self loathing America by your political stance
on many issues.
Your use of the word "sod" along with several other words and terms
that you picked up from your Liberal Euro friends just shows that you
want to be more like them.
That you continue to befriend and support people that put your nation
and people down shows where you stand.
Live with it.
Tony
It isn't a strong Irish accent because he's been out of Ireland
for so long. So I'd say it's a bit of a mix of Irish and Swedish.
Isn't it a pity that American accents are so uncool and boring
everywhere else?
Not really.. I did get a few compliments on my accent when I was in
Europe. But one woman thought I was from New York! Because I don't
pronounce R's .. car is cah.
Then that woman is a stupid *****,
Really? Alright let's look at it this way..
The woman I'm referring to lives in Ireland. Do you even *know*
all the names of the cities and towns in Ireland, Tony? Let alone
how to differentiate between their accents?
Right.. I didn't think so.
And she came pretty damn close seeing as New York and Boston are
both big cities on the east coast.
New Yorkers do not speak like
Bostonians, not even close, we pronounce R's.
"We"? You live in Jersey. And a lot of people in New York city do
*not* pronounce their R's.
They are *so* cool, Woods. Almost to the point of being intimadating.
That's because you're a fucking moron.
Oh you're just mad because I don't think *you're* cool, Tony! .. :)
Get over it.
Dani

Wrong. It's just that you disgust me with your obvious hatred of your
own people and country.
You should stick to making your Sugar Daddy happy, its probably the
one thing you muight be able to do right.
