Sudan man forced to 'marry' goat
A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was
caught having sex with the animal.
The goat's owner, Mr Alifi, said he surprised the man with his goat and took
him to a council of elders.
They ordered the man, Mr Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars
($50) to Mr Alifi.
"We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together,"
Mr Alifi said.
Mr Alifi, Hai Malakal in Upper Nile State, told the Juba Post newspaper that
he heard a loud noise around midnight on 13 February and immediately rushed
outside to find Mr Tombe with his goat.
"When I asked him: 'What are you doing there?', he fell off the back of the
goat, so I captured and tied him up".
Mr Alifi then called elders to decide how to deal with the case.
"They said I should not take him to the police, but rather let him pay a
dowry for my goat because he used it as his wife," Mr Alifi told the
newspaper.

I'm guessing that in Sudan, the bride doesn't need to consent to the
marriage?

I have seen that Arabian "Urban Legend" so many times now Jean, that it
"Makes My Head Spine" (new Lukas Rossi tune) every time I hear it !!!
Time to move on to something new - their Jean.

I like 'their' instead of 'there' too!
The best is his having 'seen' the urban legend so....etc, that his head
spines whenever he 'hears' it!

I truly hope that when the Islamic Fundamentalist take over the world,
you 'literary types' are the first to be "Be-Headed". - I know that I
have very little use for you (even now).
We already know that people like you where the "second in line" to go,
on Hitler's list !!!

'book burners' of old.
An odd thing for you to wish really..don't you think so? Anyone capable
of forming a reasonable sentence should be decapitated?
We all have our individual abilities. Mine are quite natural, and
confined to a reasonable ability to express myself without tripping
over my feet too often.
You, of course, have far greater gifts. You even have a little Spirit
friend to guide you around, to tell you things.
Do give the little chap a biscuit and a glass of milk for his kindness.

I have nothing personal against people that like to spend their time
living life through the 'texts' of others. - I truly do support
self-enlightenment through reading.
I just can't stand people that take hours 'proof read' their posts
(mutiple times - I might add) before hitting the SEND button. [Just to
make sure they dotted every I and made sure that every 'pronoun' is
properly 'tensed'.]
- and then criticize everyone else that is not 'dumb' enough to do
the same.
If world leaders would take as much time (as some of you do) thinking
out their words to write on their next great speech, then their would
probably be no wars.
- most of them would still be trying to decide if their proses should
be in a 'present' or 'past' tense !!!

Oh dear, Kim. Yet again, a poor observation. My proof reading is no
more than a quick scan over. I write quickly, never use a dictionary,
or pause to phrase a thing in any way. It's just the manner in which I
write, always have done.
There are times when I wish that I could be less...formal. It never
works though, the result is unsatisfactory.
I make errors too. We are all capable of that. In my last post, (above)
I noticed that I must have been thinking about roads when I spelled
'curb' as 'kerb'. See, I do it as well.
I don't know if it is a gift, or a curse. I do know that it's second
nature to me. I write in this style when leaving a note for the
milkman, address a bank, or clumsily attempt to send words of
endearment.
Your own..peculiar..style has it's charm as well. You really should not
take that which I say to heart so much. I have long thought that the
world has only two types of people in it. Those who have tattoes, and
those who are afraid of people with tattoes. It's merely a symbolic
thought, but I believe that it holds true as a generalisation.
May I suggest a tattoo?

Obviously you didn't read that post completely there 'Wolfy' - OR you
might have noticed that you where not the one I was directing that RANT
towards.
I was just 'boroughing' your soapbox to do a little Preaching of my
own.
What ever happened to TYPING on the FLY (does anyone here - besides me
- remember the Good Ole Days). Before the Yuppie 'Offspring' of the
'70s (with their "Advertising Up The Ying-Yang 'Til You Barf"
perogatives) took over the Internet.

Ah..I see know Kim. There! At times I can't even read a thing correctly
either!
Yes, I remember the pre 70's very well. Life has changed a lot
since..oh, 1945! Growing up in the aftermath of WW2 in England had
certain character-building qualities. Qualities that have long been
lost, as the childish posters who wander in here at times display with
consumate ease.
