larger binaries produced by gcc 3.x than 2.9 |
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that binaries produced by
g++ 3.x are almost
twice as big as the ones produced by g++ 2.95.
Thanks

Are you facing a problem of them not fitting on a floppy disk?

I have a few questions for you.
a) where is the proof ?
b) do you think you really care ?
c) do you think you did everything to compare apples to apples ?
d) where is the question that is on-topic for this news-group ?
I suspect you might come up empty on question 4 and you might want to
try a gcc specific news-group or mailing list (warning - the "general"
gcc mail list is a high traffic list).
